A Christmas Carol

Interactive Musical Story Theatre

adapted from Charles Dickens

Suitable for KS2 KS3 & SEN

The production includes a workshop that can be tailor-made to your study or topic requirements.

ie. Victorian Christmas -  Victorian Children - Character exploration through drama -  Interpreting Text – Music for stories -

Duration

Show plus workshop = 90 to 120 minutes

Show only  = 75 minutes

Staging Requirements

Space

Because this is an atmospheric story, it is important to have an enclosed

area not used as a thoroughfare.  Classrooms or lecture theatres are fine.

Set

We require 3 chairs and 2 tables (one big enough for a piano keyboard and one for Scrooge’s desk).

Some where to change.

We have a cloth backdrop (approx 8ft long and 5ft wide) that can be

suspended from the ceiling or hung over screens or blackboards.

Lighting

Theatre lights are not vital, but if you have them we can use them.

Other lamps or fairy lights can add to the atmosphere.

NB. We like to have the space for 45 mins beforehand in order to set up.

Oh and a nice cup of tea is always appreciated!

For their Special Topic Week.

“Dear Lizzie Thank you so much for such a wonderful day yesterday. Your stories were fabulous and the girls were totally entranced. I really thought the whole day went fantastically well and I have had brilliant feedback from the Reception and Year 5 classes as well.
‘You were absolutely brilliant and a real hit with the girls. They were totally entranced by the stories and I think you really brought their studies of the Victorian and Tudor eras to life.
And the teachers thought you were amazing too !
I will definitely be in touch again soon to organise another visit to the school.
All the best.”
