How to book a guest author or artist

Fill in our booking form and book directly alternatively you can call us or email for further information.

Class Act Agency will advise the author, writer, illustrator, storyteller or artist that is most suitable for your individual needs. We then book you visiting author/ storyteller/ artist/ illustrator on your schools behalf and confirm with the school the booking. When your school is satisfied with the booking we will send confirmation in writing, detailing the visit.

We will invoice the school after your visitor has been.

You send the fees to us and we will pay the visitor.

Rates may vary

Please be aware that our guest authors/ illustrators/ artists/ storytellers may charge different rates depending on experience, length of stay, location and travel. Generally artists charge between £250 - £500 for a day in a school therefore please make it clear what your budget is at the time of booking so we can negotiate accordingly.

Book signings and sales

Your visitor may supply their own books for sale when they visit your school. Guest authors and poets often stay after school to sell and sign copies of their books. Book sales and signings work well if schools inform parents in advance that books will be on sale. Alternatively local bookstores will often supply schools with a selection of books on a sale or return basis. Alternatively Class Act can organise a delivery of books into your school for you.
