About the Author

Jan is an author and illustrator of over seventy children’s books, an art teacher and lecturer in teacher’s colleges and art colleges. Jan is available for bookings in schools, libraries and similar venues, for performances or workshops with all age groups from nursery to post graduate. A performance may consist of reading stories, showing picture books, teaching and sharing finger & action rhymes. Jan also conducts writing and illustration workshops or talks about the processes of writing and publishing using Power Point presentations & giving children, students, parents and teachers the opportunity to ask questions individually in open forum. Sessions are, of course, adjusted to suit the age-range and size of each group.

Suggested Length of Sessions (related to age-groups)

• Nursery, Reception: 30 mins
• Yrs 1- 4: 40--45 mins
• Yrs 5&6: 45--60mins

An allowance of 15 minutes between sessions is essential.
