David Orme taught for 18 years before becoming a full time writer. He has written over 250 books, covering poetry, fiction, non-fiction and school resources. He has a particular interest in writing for reluctant and struggling readers. Recent books includes the novel Fire, set at the time of the Great Fire of London, and the Trailblazer series of fact and fiction for Ransom Publishing on themes as varied as Dinosaurs and How to be a Pop Star!
David Works with KS1 – 3 children. He offers a mix of performances and workshops, arranged to suit the needs and timetable of the school. He can offer workshops on fiction and/or poetry writing.
Most of David’s workshops are in the South of England, but he is happy to travel further, particularly if more than one day’s work is involved. If you book David and Helen Orme on the same day, there is a special ‘buy one author, get another for only £100' offer.
