Runny Honey

Stuck In The Mud

Jane has been an archaeologist, a teacher, and a library assistant, but is now a full time children’s writer, with around twenty published books, and more in the publishing pipeline, plus poems in many children’s anthologies, and reading scheme stories for Oxford Reading Tree and Collins Big Cats.

Books for 2007 are Muck It Up! Runny Honey, Best of Both Nests and Gilbert in Deep, the follow-up to her bestselling Gilbert the Great.

Jane loves to visit schools to share her books and talk about being an author, and to run poetry and/or creative writing workshops.

She often begins the day with an all-school poetry performance as an introduction, then she’s happy to see any/every class from Nursery through to Year 6.

She tailors her visit according to the age groups she will see and the teachers’ wishes.

Jane has also led sessions on creative writing at writing festivals and teachers’ conferences, and is happy to speak at parents’ evenings on how to help boost children’s creativity.
