Alan Durant (in his own words)

I've had around fifty titles published from picture books to young adult novels, and my poems have been published in various anthologies. My titles include the picture books Dear Tooth Fairy, Dear Father Christmas, Always and Forever, Angus Rides the Goods Train, Snake Supper, Big Bad Bunny, Burger Boy (I only do the words, my drawing is pants!) and the imminent I Love You Little Monkey and Football Fever. My books for juniors include Spider McDrew, Happy Birthday, Creepe Hall, Game Boy, Game Boy Reloaded, Stat Man and the football series Bad Boyz and Leggs United (the first four of which are to be reissued in May in the omnibus edition Goal). My books for teenagers include The Ring of Truth, Blood and A Short Stay in Purgatory.

I work with all age ranges, primary and secondary, including adults. I run sessions with teachers and am about to run my first writing for children residential course in France. I do performances of my work, interactive question and answer sessions and talks, and prose and poetry workshops. I think workshops should be at least an hour long, and for top juniors and secondary more like an hour and a half. I start at 9.30.
