Class Act Agency is a booking service for schools offering to find, organise and book the best authors, poets, storytellers and illustrators for your school.

Founder Kate Collier has had over 10 years teaching experience and knows all about the stresses of organising literary events, but also understands the educational benefits of having guest performers and workshop leaders into school.

Class Act has been created to support teachers in schools. Everybody loves to have exciting, extra curricular events, but it takes time to organise; time on top of an already busy workload. Class Act can help by taking this stressful, time consuming part out of the teacher’s hands and do the searching and organising for you. This agency knows how important it is to have competent visitors in school, people who are good at what they do and are good with the children. Class Act only use performers who come recommended.

2008 is the National Year of Reading. A visiting author can really inspire children to pick up a book.
